Turntable Tuesday – GetRight

Hey Blogger Babies, here we are again with another Turntable Tuesday. I am so excited for this week’s feature. GetRight is a singer song writer and Sacramento native. GetRight came HIGHLY recommend by my musical counter part G.I. (Some of you may know G.I. from the retire “ENTERTAIN MIX” show *rip*) Well, from first listen, not getting GetRight on the spotlight, just wasn’t and option. I’m so glad that he took the time to let me interview him. Here’s what he had to say…. I hope you enjoy!

How you got started: I got started by putting original lyrics to songs by well established artists such as Jay-Z & Memphis bleek with a small group of my high school friends.

Why you keep going: Over time my producer, Fess, & I have made a lot of progress with our music quality which recently has lead to a lot of encouraging feedback. Also I really enjoy the finished product of the music. It’s like you are painting a picture with your words.

Who/What inspires you: All of my friends who happened to be the artists that I work with are a huge inspiration. Seeing people like Nolan Rashawn, Smoovie Baby, Half Black & Iggy grinding hard to achieve there goals motivates me to have the same mindset.

What projects are you currently working on: I’m currently working on a mixtape called “Mind of A Man” which is composed mostly originally produced music. This mixtape will be a little shorter than the “GetRight or GetLeft” mixtape I released in December but the sound will be a much better quality.
